Y2K - The "Year 2000 Millenium Bug" |
The Y2K crisis stems from the inability of computer systems to recognize the change from the year 1999 to 2000. Systems that are not Y2K compliant will hold an incorrect internal year of 1900, which is then interpreted by most operating systems as 1980, the first year that PCs recognized themselves as existing.
Included here is a list of phone systems that are compliant, and where to get more information on your system.

Download our fix2000.exe file (1143 KB), then just double-click on the file. The Fix-2000 software will be installed and your system will be tested by the trial version of Fix-2000 and the results will be reported.
As an alternate, for your PC, we have a small download, mcheck11.com, that will test only your system BIOS for Y2K Compliance. Download the file and place it on a floppy disk. From a DOS prompt (or command prompt), type A: then type mcheck11.com. The program will display the results on screen.

The phone systems and software listed below have been tested for Y2K Compliancy.
TELRAD:
ESI:
ESI developed their product software using eight-digit coding (MM/DD/YYYY) -- not the flawed six-digit coding (MM/DD/YY) that created the entire Y2K dilemma in the first place. Their extensive testing confirms that their products experience no date-related (or other) problems when switched to the year 2000. Moreover, the internal calendar continues to handle leap years accurately.
In short, you may rest assured:
All ESI products are Year
2000 compliant!
Call or email Certified Phone Solutions Sales Co. for more information on your phone system's Y2K compliancy.
